Christmas lights/fireworks

Started by: PeterP (11334)

I read about more and more councils who are not putting Christmas lights up or having fireworks displays on bonfire nights/new years eve due to the cost. Wigan should do the same ,Why pay a Z-Lister to turn the lights on in the town centre. The lights MAY attract some people into town for the switch on then that is it back to the normal deserted town centre

Because if they don’t people will complain.

(Probably In much the same way you are complaining because they are)

I think that at Christmas the council should just do something in Believe Square, and forget about Market Place and Standishgate.

You do realise that regardless of what the council do people will moan and complain……including several from in here
